Cinderella retold

@mrowe I don’t want to alarm anyone but something weird is going on. The prince just clattered down our street in his best carriage and pulled up in front of the house across the road.

@mrowe There seems to be an enormous fuss going on inside the house. It’s hard to make out from here, but the sisters are running up and down the stairs and screaming at Cinderella… As usual, she’s just calmly following orders.

@mrowe I honestly don’t know why she puts up with it. Respect, sister.

@mrowe So the prince knocked on the door and is waving a golden slipper about, deep in conversation with the girls’ mother. She’s turning around and shouting at whoever is behind her. Looks like Cinderella has gone back down to the basement.

@mrowe Now she’s taken the slipper from the prince. He’s just chillin. It’s all gone quiet inside, but there’s something going on in an upstairs bedroom.

@mrowe Holy cow, what was that scream?!? They’ve always been noisy, but that was something else.

@mrowe They’re back at the door. The mother is pushing the oldest girl out the door. She seems keen to go with the prince, but sort of awkwardly hobbling to the carriage. Weird.

@mrowe OMG THERE’S BLOOD DRIPPING FROM HER ANKLE #gross

@mrowe I don’t think the prince has noticed the blood yet. He’s helping her up into the carriage. What on earth is he thinking??

@mrowe HAHAHAHAHA before they even got to the end of the street a bird swooped down and pecked at the blood on her foot. FINALLY the prince has noticed. Poor bastard, you should see his face.
